Rupert and I were delighted to attend the 13th International Vaccinium Symposium held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in August 2024. As ever, it was a great event and an excellent opportunity to catch up on the latest scientific developments within the blueberry industry. In addition to the significant varietal improvement work taking place by breeders globally, there is a huge volume of critical underpinning science being implemented.

The blueberry crop continues to gain in significance and popularity across many global territories and it is reassuring to understand that so many parts of the industry are working together in order to extend this trend.

We especially enjoyed spending time with our blueberry breeding partners as we work together to bring new and improved varieties to growers across the world.

The conference was very well attended and put together. We would like to extend our thanks to the organisers for another excellent symposium.
