Juhas blackberry is showing highly encouraging performance in Israel, with strong crops of high-quality fruit demonstrating the variety’s commercial potential.

Developed by NIWA, Juhas is an early season primocane variety designed to extend the cropping window and maintainfruit supply over a longer period. It combines very high yields with a sweet flavour and concentrated ripening, helping growers reduce the number of harvest passes and associated picking costs.

The variety also demonstrates a strong lack of red-cell reversion, supporting consistent fruit quality and presentation throughout the supply chain.
