The Durham walnut is a mid-season cultivar producing large, uniform, light-coloured kernels with an
excellent shell seal. It matures earlier than ‘Chandler’, offering growers an advantage in early
market entry. The nuts are attractive and easy to shell, with smooth, tan-coloured shells that appeal
to both domestic and export markets.
